Little brook house is a home that provides warmth and understanding. The registered manager, Luci Hammett, and deputy manager Caroline Phillips, are committed to promoting a fulfilling life and encouraging independence and choices, so that our residents can pursue their hobbies and interests. We always encourage staff to respect peoples wishes. Both Luci and Caroline are dedicated to providing high standards of care. They have both worked in the care industry for many years and have gained a lot of knowledge and understanding.

Little Brook House is a safe and happy home for elderly residents who have a degree of mobility and for those who live with dementia and memory loss. They may be finding it difficult to manage in their own home and need assistance with shopping, cooking, cleaning, and maintaining an active lifestyle.

Little Brook House contains twenty-five individual bedrooms all with en-suite. There is a large communal lounge, separate dining room and conservatories. All corridors are kept clear so residents can walk independently, or with a frame, through the entire ground floor and into the gardens while encountering only one step. Access to bedrooms on the first floor is via stairs, or the stair lift and a platform lift in the extension. Unfortunately, there is limited wheelchair access.

Each month we hold a residents’ meeting in the lounge to discuss outings, activities, menus and more. In this way, residents choose how they wish to live; we simply provide them with a safe and tranquil place to stay, short or long term, with the full support of qualified staff around the clock.

If you are seeking a retirement home for yourself or a relative we welcome you to come and visit us - no appointment is necessary
