Corona Virus (COVID-19) Update

Following the recent outbreak of the corona virus, COVID-19,  we wanted to assure our residents, their families, our staff and suppliers that we are taking this issue very seriously and we are following the NHS Guidelines to reduce the risk of infection and transmission of COVID-19 at Little Brook House. As a consequence, we would request that anybody planning to visit the home follow these guidelines:

  • We ask that anybody that has returned from visiting any of the countries listed below to please NOT visit Little Brook House for at least least a further 14 days after arriving back in the UK, whether you have symptoms of COVID-19 or not.
  • If all visitors could make use of the gel hand wash at the front door.

At the time of writing the countries impacted include the following:

  • Wuhan or Hubei Province in China China, including Macau and Hong Kong
  • Thailand, Japan, Taiwan, Singapore, Republic of Korea or Malaysia
  • Northern Italy
  • Tenerife

This is an evolving situation so we would also refer you to the following government web site for up to date information on impacted locations: https://www.gov.uk/guidance/travel-advice-novel-coronavirus

We want clearly to avoid the risk of possible infection in the first place and we appreciate your cooperation in helping us to protect our residents from potential harm. In the unlikely event that there is an incidence of the virus in the home there are specific guidelines issued by the government on actions to be taken in primary care environments which our staff are briefed on and we are in a position to implement.

Thank you all for your understanding and support.

The Little Brook House Team
